Welcome to The South Cotswold Partnership
The South Cotswold Partnership consists of various educational partners to provide opportunities for young people across the district. We are currently working on various projects to ensure young people are able to carry on in education, such as creating a flexible and personalise curriculum. We offer a variety of programmes ranging from Beauty Therapy to Early Years Care to Construction.
We are planning for the introduction of the Diplomas, with the Creative & Media Diploma being introduced in September 2009. We hope to be able to offer others in the coming years.

Building a Better Future thanks to Redrow
SCHOOLCHILDREN in the Cotswolds have been laying sturdy foundations for a career in construction with help from a national housebuilder.
The students from Cirencester Deer Park; Cirencester Kingshill; Farmor’s and Sir William Romney’s Schools, have been given an insight into the industry by Redrow Homes as they undertake the first year of a BTEC First Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.
With a number of site visits to Redrow’s Centuria development in Cirencester and Cheswick urban village in Bristol, already under their tool belts, the pupils, aged 15 and 16, have learnt about infrastructure, watched brick-laying demonstrations and toured a completed show home.
Chris Germaine, coordinator of the South Cotwolds Partnership, a consortium made up of the five schools and a college, said: “This has been an excellent experience for the students and has given them real-life experience of the building trade.
“We can only teach them so much in the classroom so on-site learning is an essential part of the course. Redrow have bent over backwards to help us and we are extremely grateful to them for their ongoing support. These students are the workforce of the future so it’s great for them to be learning from the professionals.”
Martin Mills, construction manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “It’s vital for the future of the industry that we continue to have skilled construction workers rising through the ranks and we are delighted to be able to offer our assistance to the South Cotswold Partnership. We hope the students have found the visits helpful and we look forward to working with them all in the future.”
Redrow is building 130 homes at Centuria in Cirencester and is currently constructing Tallsticks, the first phase of 100 homes eco-friendly homes, at the urban village of Cheswick in Filton, Bristol. For sales information please call 01454 625000.
